What We Buy
Scrap Compressors
The sealed black compressors from fridges, freezers, air conditioners and coolrooms. Inside the steel shell is a motor wound with copper, so they're worth more than plain steel.

Overview
Copper Inside the Shell
A black compressor is the sealed, dome-shaped pump at the heart of a fridge, freezer or air conditioner. Its welded steel shell holds an electric motor with copper windings, which is why compressors have their own price, above steel.
Bring them in whole: there's no need to cut them open. The refrigerant gas has to be recovered by a licensed technician before a compressor comes out of its unit, and we can't take any that still hold gas.
