What We Buy

Scrap Copper

Copper pays more per kilo than any other common scrap metal. Bring in your pipe, wire and offcuts, and we'll grade it, weigh it and pay you for every kilo.

Overview

Clean Copper Pays Best

Copper is graded on how clean it is. Bare, bright wire is worth the most, clean pipe a little less, and copper with solder, paint, fittings or insulation less again. Sorting it before you come in can lift the price of the whole load.

Plumbers, electricians and air-con installers bring us their offcuts, and so do homeowners clearing out a shed or renovating. A handful of pipe or a ute load, we'll weigh it and pay you for it.

Grades We Buy

  • Bright & Shiny

Bare, uncoated copper wire with no solder, paint or tarnish. The top grade.

  • Clean Pipe

Copper pipe and offcuts with the fittings, solder and insulation removed.

  • Mixed Copper

Painted, soldered, tinned or tarnished copper, and pipe with a little solder left on.

  • Copper with Attachments

Pipe with brass fittings or steel still on. Cut the extras off for a better price.

How It Works

Selling scrap at our Hallam yard takes a few minutes.

  1. Bring it in

Bring your scrap to our Hallam yard in the car, ute or trailer. For bigger loads, we can collect.

  2. We sort and weigh it

We sort your metal by grade and weigh each grade on its own, so every kilo is paid at the right price.

  3. Show your ID

Victorian law requires us to record photo ID from everyone who sells us scrap metal.

  4. Get paid

We pay by bank transfer, as scrap metal dealers in Victoria can't pay in cash. Bring your BSB and account number.
